Get Fit in the New Year

The holidays will be over before we know it. Oncle all the excitement is over and the chaos settles down, it will be time to start focusing on you and your goals. At some point or another we have all come up with New Year's Resolutions...losing weight...taking more time for ourselves...eating healthier...and the list goes on and on. How many of us actually stick to our resolutions? One study done by Forbes Health found that the average resolution lasts 3.74 months. After that people give up or find other things to focus on.

Turning a goal into a habit really depends on you and what kind of habit you are trying to form. However, on average, recent research has shown that it takes a full six months to establish a new routine and make it stick. We are shorting ourselves almost three months when we don't stick to our new year's resolutions! If eating healthier or working out more is something that you have always wanted to focus on , but have never made the time, there is no time like the present to get started. What do you have to lose?
